Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to lead our physical education classes and conduct supervision duties. The ideal candidate will inspire students toward a healthy and active lifestyle and be an active and positive member of our school team. This role involves creating a dynamic learning environment that promotes the physical, social, and emotional development of all students through a comprehensive physical education program.
- Plan, develop, and implement engaging and challenging PE lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and mission.
- Promote a healthy and active lifestyle among students, emphasizing the importance of physical activity and overall well-being.
- Conduct supervision duties as required, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all students.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude toward physical fitness and health.
- Participate actively in school meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education with other academic subjects, promoting a holistic approach to student development.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity and promotes sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Engage with the school community, including parents, to encourage active participation in physical education and related activities outside of school hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students in physical education activities.
- Strong understanding and appreciation of Armenian heritage, with the ability to integrate cultural elements into the PE program (preferred but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
- Creativity and innovation in teaching methods and lesson planning.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Previous experience in teaching PE in a school setting is highly desirable.
