On December 9th-15th, in celebration of Computer Science Education Week, Chamlian students continued to integrate coding during their STEAM and computer classes. Coding is a set of instructions created to complete a task. Coding helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity. By starting early, students have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path. As part of our technology curriculum at Chamlian, students code through the building and application of the design-thinking process throughout the year!

Our Kindergartners have spent the week reading and learning about gingerbread. After making their own dough and placing it in the oven, they realized that their gingerbread cookies have run away! They spent the day searching for their cookies, until they finally found them in their classroom. The fun never ends here at Chamlian!

Our talented First Grade Tigers spent some time at the Armenian Prelacy showcasing their musical talents in our annual Christmas program! We thank His Eminence Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian for welcoming our students and sharing his Christmas message with them.

Today our young Tigers spread the magic of Christmas to their parents during Kindergarten's Parent Visitation Day. Our students performed Christmas songs, poems, and jokes to make the spirit of Christmas come alive. Our parents also had the opportunity to create art with their children through fingerpainting. Smiles all around as the Christmas spirit continues to fill Chamlian! Thanks to all who made our special breakfast and Christmas-themed clothing day a hit; as always, our creative Tigers had a blast coming to school in their favorite Christmas gear!

Our Chamlian students enjoyed a beautiful Christmas sermon and communion by our beloved Parish Priests, Archpriest Fr. Komitas Torosian and Reverend Fr. Ardak Demirjian.

Our fifth graders were filled with excitement to witness our class novel, A Christmas Carol, come to life at the Glendale Centre Theatre! They were also given the opportunity to meet the actors and actresses and delve into the inner workings and challenges that come with putting together a play based upon a novel.

Bringing history alive at Medieval Times! Our 7th graders had a blast enjoying a nice lunch while watching knights battle off as they did long ago!

Christmas magic at the annual Chamlian Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony! Thank you to our PSC moms whose tireless efforts made this night such a fun-filled family event to kick off the holiday celebrations.

6th graders visited the CA Science Center to experience MATH ALIVE! an interactive exhibit reflecting the use of math in our everyday lives!
