This summer, Chamlian is hosting their First Annual Summer Bridge PBL camp to incoming First through Fifth graders from August 7th-11th. Project Based Learning (PBL) is a method where students explore realistic problems, through an integrated approach to produce a solution. It reflects their knowledge about the studied topic and is inquiry or discovery based. Students become interactive learners as they investigate a topic in a student-centered environment fostering collaboration with peers, critical thinking, idea innovation development, feedback and revision, and a final public presentation.
Registration Deadline: June 2nd.

Officially kicking off Teacher Appreciation Week! Every day this week, faculty and staff will be treated with a special treat. We value our staff for all of their hard work and dedication. Today, the teachers were provided with breakfast by the Parent Support Group!

On Tuesday, April 25th, three Chamlian students were finalists for the "I Love My Neighborhood" art contest. Clara Khajikian (1st grade), Olivia Darakian ( 3rd grade), and Nanar Shahinian ( 4th Grade) competed against thousands of students and were recognized for their achievement by the City of Glendale.

On Friday, April 21, Chamlian 7th grade students, along with parent and teacher chaperones, went to watch "The Promise" on opening day. Watching the film together was an emotional and empowering experience. After the movie, Armenian teachers engaged students in a discussion regarding the events of the film and their previous knowledge from their Armenian classes. We are all so thankful to the late Mr. Kirk Kerkorian and all those who had a part in the making and release of this film. #KeepThePromise

Chamlian’s 6th grade students along with hundreds of students from Armenian schools all around Southern California gathered at the Montebello Genocide Memorial to remember and demand justice for the 102nd Anniversary Commemoration of the #ArmenianGenocide. #RallyForJustice

On Tuesday, April 4th, 2017, the entire Chamlian family gathered together for the Annual Tree Planting and Candle Lighting ceremony to commemorate 100+2 anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Chamlian now has a total of 33 trees on campus and plans on continuing this meaningful tradition each year. Underneath each tree, an engraved plaque is placed with the name of a region in Armenia or a victim of the genocide.This year, the region picked was Hromkla.

1st -8th Grade Walk-a-thon to Western Prelacy. 7th & 8th Grade Armenian Club members recited speeches to commemorate 100 +2 anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

On Thursday, March 30th, Carnie Armenian, from the ARS Javakhk Fund, spoke to the Chamlian students about the Armenian community of Javakhk - its history, current conditions, and her experiences with Camp Javakhk. She encouraged students to participate in the fundraiser to support the building of Armenian community centers in Javakhk.

On Wednesday, March 29th, 2017, Chamlian Armenian School’s held its Second Annual Sports Night, organized by the Parent Athletic Committee (PAC), to honor and appreciate our KAHAM athletes and coaches. Athletes arrived on campus dressed in their “Marzig” warm up jerseys, accompanied by their families dressed in Chamlian colors, everyone showing their Tiger Pride.

On Tuesday, March 28th, Board of Regents recognized Artsakh's 25th Anniversary of Independence Poem Contest winners. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian shared closing remarks and led the group to sing the national anthem.
