Mrs. Annie Markarian
Hello! I’m Mrs. Annie Markarian, and I’m proud to be part of the Chamlian Armenian School community since 2012. From my very first day as a teacher’s assistant to now teaching 2nd grade, every step of my journey has deepened my love for working with children. I believe in creating a classroom where curiosity is sparked, confidence is nurtured, and every student feels like they belong.
Watching young learners grow and discover the world around them brings me so much joy. I feel truly fortunate to guide them through such an important chapter in their lives.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and have completed college coursework in Child Development. I am currently working toward my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles including teacher’s assistant, summer camp counselor, TK through 3rd grade computer teacher, and 2nd grade teacher. Each experience has strengthened my passion for inspiring curiosity and supporting students as they grow.
I find great joy in creating an engaging classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore, discover, and develop their skills. Seeing them connect with new ideas and build confidence in their abilities is the most rewarding part of my work.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling, and expressing my creativity through crafts and DIY projects.
