8th Graders Attend Premier of "Songs of Solomon" Movie

Our 8th graders went to the special premier of the movie “Songs of Solomon”! This film is a depiction of the life and music of Komitas Vardapet, an Armenian composer, ethnomusicologist, and priest, who lived during the years of the Armenian Genocide. It is a film about resilience and resistance that beautifully highlights the Armenian spirit while simultaneously displaying the sounds and music that represent our people and country.

The movie was also all in Armenian! It was filmed mostly in Artsakh, primarily in Shushi and in Armenia. It was Armenia’s official selection for the 93rd Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category. 🎥🎞🇦🇲 #SongsofSolomon #Movie ##8thGrade #FieldTrip
