Chamlian 45th Anniversary!

This academic year celebrates Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School’s 45th anniversary. Since its inception in 1975, many generations of Armenian students have walked through the school gates and have called Chamlian their home away from home. Chamlian leads all efforts in flexibility and change in response to the evolving academic, social, and cultural needs of the expanding student community. The school builds a foundation for student character development by promoting academic excellence, preserving the Armenian heritage, and developing students of high integrity in an innovative, safe learning environment.

The school will proudly celebrate this milestone during the academic year with many special events. Please join us on Saturday, November 22, 2019 at the Chamlian Armenian School Anniversary Gala. Other fun filled events include a family camp in the fall and an all day celebration to coincide with the school’s annual Independence Day Celebration.
The Chamlian School’s forefathers unceasingly endeavored to expand the school facility as financially and physically possible to accommodate the maximum number of permitted students.  This investment combined with the steadfast dedication of the school’s academic team allowed the school’s education program to meet and excel all academic standards and now competes with high profile private and public schools in the region. This achievement hasn’t been a small task and has only been possible through the generosity of its school community benefactors.
Over the last several years, the school campus has undergone continuous renovation and modernization to reflect and support the excellent academic and social programs. However, the school faces a long road as it completes the classroom modernization program, upgrades all internal building infrastructures, revamps the much-used auditorium, and further develops the large Marzadasht with active and passive components.
Chamlian Armenian School is now educating 670 students and is committed to expanding the student community as much as possible in order to not turn away any child. The school looks forward to greeting new visitors to experience all the physical improvements recently completed and welcoming new partners as it begins the story for the next 45 years.

Chamlian Armenian School will continue to lead, celebrate and build.

Books & Burgers Poster Contest!

We are happy to announce the students whose posters were selected for the Books & Burgers Poster Contest held during our first annual Books & Burgers event in May. The contest was born out of the desire to connect our school with the City of Glendale's public libraries, encourage our students’ love of reading, and to give them an opportunity to express their creativity through an art exercise. Students who attended the event and participated in the contest were asked to draw a scene from their favorite book. All submissions were reviewed by a panel of judges, consisting of Chamlian faculty members as well as a previous member of Glendale Arts and Culture Commission.
