Club Positions and Executive Roles

  • President (8th grade only): Responsible for crafting the meeting agenda with the club advisor, convening meetings, ensuring member attendance, and leading meetings and club activities.

  • Vice President (8th grade only): Assists and supports the President with their duties and stands in for the President in their absence.

  • Secretary: Takes notes during meetings and assists the President with administrative tasks, such as communications.

  • Treasurer: Manages club finances during events and maintains the club budget, ensuring financial integrity.

  • Class Representatives: Each class elects 2 representatives to serve in the Student Council, Booster Club, and Armenian Club, reflecting the interests of their peers in each homeroom and Armenian class. Representatives play a key role in promoting club activities, supporting club initiatives, and ensuring their classmates are aware of upcoming events and meetings.

Club Member Responsibilities

  • Members are expected to attend bi-weekly meetings held during lunch recess (1:10pm - 1:30pm) on Thursdays. Attendance is crucial, and any necessary absence should be communicated to the club advisor in advance.

  • Active participation in executing plans discussed during meetings is expected on members' own time.

  • Regular communication is facilitated through email, which club members must check daily.

Eligibility and Removal Policies

  • Eligibility: Participation in clubs is open to current junior high students at Chamlian Armenian School who maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or above and have no academic or behavior detentions and suspensions.

  • Removal: Students receiving detention and/or suspension will be removed from their club. Additionally, failure to meet eligibility requirements during their term will result in removal from office.

These structures and policies ensure that our clubs not only provide students with the opportunity to explore their interests and develop leadership skills but also instill a sense of responsibility, commitment, and academic diligence. Through these engagements, Chamlian aims to nurture well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to their community and uphold the school's values of excellence, integrity, and cultural heritage.
