My name is Anita Gharakhanian. I was born and raised in Iran, where I attended local Armenian schools and developed a deep appreciation for the Armenian language, literature, and history. I later earned my degree in Armenian Language and Literature from the University of Isfahan.

My passion for Armenian education began at an early age and continues to shape my work in the classroom today. I strive to create an environment where students feel inspired, encouraged, and engaged, where language comes alive through creativity, music, movement, and play. I believe teaching Armenian is more than just grammar and vocabulary, it's about strengthening our students’ connection to their heritage and identity.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time in nature, traveling, staying active, and finding joy in creative projects at home. One quote I hold close is from Hovhannes Tumanyan: “The only path to our salvation is enlightenment. Not by debating, rather by working, learning, and teaching”.
