Ms. Arpine Assadourian
Hello! My name is Arpine Assadourian, and I am delighted to be joining Chamlian’s fourth grade team this year. During my time at Chamlian, I have worked as both a substitute teacher for TK-8, and as a teacher’s assistant in first and third grade. These roles allowed me to support students academically and emotionally, and helped me discover that fourth grade is truly where my passion lies.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Southern California, where I focused on child development through coursework, research, and hands-on experience. As a research assistant at USC’s Brain and Creativity Lab, I contributed to studies on memory, learning, and development, work that continues to shape my approach to supporting all learners. My background also includes working as a Behavioral Technician supporting the emotional growth and skill-building of neurodivergent and developmentally diverse children, teaching dance to students ages 2-18, and serving as a summer camp counselor leading academic and enrichment activities.
My goal is to create a classroom that is warm, structured, and full of joy, a space where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. I believe in building strong relationships, encouraging creativity, and fostering independence both academically and socially.
Outside of the classroom, I love listening to music, baking desserts, traveling, dancing, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
