Mrs. Raquel Kabadaian

Welcome! I’m thrilled you’ve found my page and are interested in learning more about me. I’m so excited for the year ahead and truly look forward to teaching your children.

I hold a M.A. from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am currently pursuing my California Preliminary Teaching Credential.

I’ve had the joy of teaching middle and high school English, Art History, and Social Studies in both private and independent schools. Over the years, I’ve built a strong foundation in creating engaging lessons, building a positive classroom community, and helping students connect deeply with what they’re learning.

My teaching style blends structure and creativity. I use a variety of strategies to support different learners and bring literature and the arts to life. I’m especially passionate about helping students find their voice, build confidence, and discover the joy in reading and writing.

I also love designing curriculum that weaves creativity into academic learning. Historical fiction and art are two of my favorite things to explore, both in and out of the classroom.

A little about me: I’m a proud mom of two young boys who keep me laughing and on my toes! When I’m not teaching, you’ll likely find me reading a great book, visiting a museum, traveling, or spending time with my family.
