Biography

Hi! I am a passionate and creative educator, and I’m so happy to be returning home to Chamlian as a proud alumna of the Class of 2010. It means so much to step back onto the campus that first sparked my love for learning, now as a resident substitute. I believe that curiosity, critical thinking, and imagination are the heart of meaningful education.

Educational Background: I earned my bachelor's degree in Political Science and French Studies from the University of Portland, where I developed a deep appreciation for language, culture, and global connection.

Work Experience: Before returning to Chamlian, I taught third and fourth grade science as well as second grade math in an Armenian school setting. Alongside my classroom responsibilities, I led the yearbook committee, coordinated student council, and provided additional support in both kindergarten and preschool classrooms as a teacher's assistant. I’m also a founding member of Kooyrigs, a nonprofit that provides humanitarian aid to Armenian women and families, a mission that continues to shape my values as an educator and community advocate.

Interests and Hobbies: Outside the classroom, I’m an avid reader and usually finish at least two books a week. I love storytelling, arts and crafts, and creating hands-on learning experiences that help students feel seen, excited, and empowered.
