Empowering Young Minds Through Joyful Learning
It started with a spark and a childhood dream. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Whether I was lining up stuffed animals for story time or creating pretend report cards for my siblings, I was drawn to the idea of helping others learn. That early passion stayed with me, growing stronger through the years and ultimately leading me to the classroom.
For the past ten years at Chamlian, I have had the joy of helping students grow into confident, curious learners. My passion for education has always been rooted in connection: building a classroom community where students feel safe, seen, and inspired to explore the world around them. My years of experience in the classroom have taught me the power of adaptability, innovation, and empathy. I believe in meeting students where they are and using both creativity and technology to design lessons that are meaningful, interactive, and relevant. Whether introducing a new concept through digital storytelling or encouraging collaboration through educational apps, I strive to keep learning dynamic and student-centered. I strive to make the classroom an engaging, inclusive space where every child can thrive. At the heart of my teaching philosophy is a commitment to cultivating lifelong learners and children who are not only academically prepared but also emotionally supported and intellectually curious. Beyond academics, I believe in nurturing kindness, curiosity, and a love of lifelong learning. I hope my students leave my classroom not only knowing more, but also believing in themselves.
I hold an M.A. in Educational Technology and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State University, Northridge. I currently serve as a first grade teacher, and have previously taught computer classes for grades K–2, served as a 1st and 2nd grade homeroom teacher, and worked as a teacher’s assistant in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and close friends. Usually laughing, baking something sweet, or planning our next family adventure.
