Mrs. Arpi Babakhanyan
My name is Arpi Babakhanyan, and I am a dedicated Physical Education instructor at Chamlian Armenian School, where I have taught students from TK through 8th grade for nearly two decades. With a Bachelor’s degree and a strong foundation as a former college basketball player, my journey has been shaped by a lifelong passion for sports and a deep commitment to education. Having experienced firsthand how athletics can shape confidence, character, and lifelong values, I strive to bring that same transformative experience to every student I teach.
To me, physical education is far more than games and drills. It is a platform for building integrity, resilience, and a strong sense of self. Through each lesson, I aim to develop not only physical skills but also discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership, qualities that prepare students to succeed on the court, in the classroom, and in life.
I bring extensive experience as a P.E. teacher and coach for students in TK–8th grade, in addition to serving as Head JV Basketball Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Glendale High School. My athletic career, which included representing my college’s athletic department and competing at a high level, deepened my understanding of what it takes to excel in both academics and athletics.
