Mrs. Lida Gevorkian

I hold a B.S. in Mathematics and a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in both Mathematics and Science. Since 2001, I’ve had the joy of teaching at Chamlian Armenian School, where I currently serve as the Science Department Chair and Science Fair Coordinator. Over the past 24 years, I’ve worked to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning in every student I teach.

In addition to my work at Chamlian, I have taught high school math and science during summer sessions with Glendale Unified School District since 2001. I also continue to serve as a judge for both the California State Science Fair and the Los Angeles County Science Fair, where I have the privilege of engaging with bright, young scientific minds.

In previous years, I was a member of the Judges Advisory Committee and the Project Abstract Review Committee for the California State Science Fair, and in 2008, I joined the Los Angeles County Science Fair Committee.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, researching new scientific discoveries, and exploring topics I can bring into the classroom to spark student interest. I also love watching Jeopardy!, spending time with my family, and enjoying a good cup of coffee by the beach.
