Mrs. Taline Porichis

I truly believe that teaching is the most rewarding job in the world. Every day, my students bring the classroom to life with their laughter, curiosity, and fresh ideas that keep me on my toes and inspire me to grow alongside them. Their unique perspectives fuel my passion and constantly remind me why I love what I do.

I have been a proud member of the Chamlian family for over 20 years. At the heart of my teaching philosophy is a deep commitment to honoring each student’s individual path, embracing their strengths, and building meaningful connections that foster reflection, growth, and confidence every step of the way.

In my classroom, learning goes beyond facts and figures, students learn to become thoughtful and responsible global citizens. What drives me most are the moments when a student’s eyes light up with understanding and their confidence begins to bloom. Watching them discover solutions independently, after I’ve provided just enough guidance to nurture their independence, is the most rewarding part of my role. The world is theirs to conquer, and I am here to help them believe it.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Northridge, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Over the years, I have had the joy of teaching 2nd grade, as well as 1st grade and 6th grade social studies, always striving to create a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.

Outside the classroom, my life is filled with adventures in traveling, immersive reading experiences, a commitment to fitness, and a love for music.

Driven by the wisdom of Haim Ginott, I believe in the power of emotional connection as the key to unlocking a child's potential. "To reach a child's mind, a teacher must capture his heart. Only if a child feels right can he think right." I strive every day to ensure that each student feels valued, understood, and inspired.
