Mrs. Taline Porichis

Each school day brings new opportunities to connect with students, spark curiosity, and support them as they grow into capable, thoughtful learners. I feel grateful and happy to be part of this work every day. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and I have spent more than two decades teaching. My goal is to help students become future-ready learners by developing the skills that matter most, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, adaptability, and confidence. I want my students to leave my classroom not only with strong academic foundations, but with the curiosity and independence to navigate an ever-changing world.

At the heart of my teaching is the belief that students learn best when they feel connected, capable, and excited to be in the classroom. I strive to create an environment where learning is meaningful, engaging, and filled with joy. We work hard, think deeply, ask great questions, and have a lot of fun along the way. Some of the most rewarding moments are watching students take ownership of their learning, celebrate their growth, and discover what they are capable of accomplishing. Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, and staying active, experiences that inspire me to bring fresh perspectives, real-world connections, and a sense of adventure into our learning each day.
