Application Process

At Chamlian Armenian School, our admissions process reflects the core values that shape our identity: academic excellence, Armenian heritage, innovation, and integrity. We welcome families who share these values and who are excited to be part of a dynamic, collaborative learning community.
 

Step 1: Join the Waiting List

The waiting list for TK and Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 academic year opens on October 1, 2025, at 8:00 AM via our website.

Please note: The waiting list is active for one academic year only.

Step 2: School Tour (by email invitation)

Families who receive an email invitation are required to participate in a guided school tour, led by our Director of Admissions and Records. These visits provide a first-hand look at our classrooms, campus, and welcoming school culture.

Step 3: Family Interview & Evaluation

Following the school tour, families meet with our Director of Admissions and Records for an interview to ensure alignment with Chamlian’s mission and values.

After the interview, a confidential digital evaluation form will be sent to your child’s current school, reinforcing our commitment to high academic standards and integrity throughout the admissions process.

Step 4: Registration

Families who are accepted will receive a registration email with detailed instructions. All documents must be submitted through our online portal within the designated registration window.

Registration Checklist:

  • Completed application with all required information
  • Paid registration fee
  • Copy of birth certificate (age verification)
  • Up-to-date immunization records (Immunization Plans are not accepted)
  • Confidential evaluation form submitted by current school
  • Proof of completion from an NAEYC or WASC-accredited preschool or Kindergarten

Please note: Prior enrollment at Chamlian does not guarantee future acceptance. Each application is reviewed independently as part of our fair and transparent admissions process.

Sept 15 - 19, 2025 Waiting list opens for 1st Grade (Tufenkian & Tavlian students only) 
Oct 1, 2025 TK & Kindergarten waiting list opens at 8:00 AM
Oct 14, 2025 Interviews and tours begin (by email invitation)    
Dec 12, 2025 Deadline for current school directors to submit evaluation forms
Jan 20, 2026 Admissions decisions released
Jan 20 - 30, 2026 New student registration window
Feb 18 - Mar 6, 2026 Returning student registration window
