FAQs

What does being on the Waiting List entail? Being on the waiting list indicates your family's interest in enrolling your child at Chamlian Armenian School. Admissions are not solely list-based; if a vacancy arises, all appropriate candidates are re-evaluated. However, due to demand potentially surpassing available spots, enrollment is not assured.

Does the waiting list carry over to the next academic year? No, the waiting list is reset annually. This policy is in place to guarantee fairness, giving every interested family an equal opportunity to join our community each year.

Is enrollment in an accredited program necessary for registration? Yes. Entrance into Kindergarten or First Grade requires completion of a preschool or Kindergarten program accredited by NAEYC or WASC, ensuring students are academically and socially prepared for Chamlian’s robust curriculum.

Which preschools feed into Chamlian? Chamlian closely collaborates with several feeder/sister preschools, including:
  • Richard Tufenkian Preschool and Kindergarten
  • Levon & Hasmig Tavlian Preschool and Kindergarten

What should I expect during my campus tour? The campus tour, led by our Director of Admissions, provides a detailed overview of our facilities and programs and includes a brief interview to discuss the alignment of your family’s values with Chamlian's mission and core values.

Is there a preschool on your campus? No, Chamlian serves students from TK through 8th Grade but does not have a preschool facility on site.
